Do you fly the airplane and shoot at the same time? Absolutely not. In the Chicago and Indiana area, we have aerial photographers who fly their airplane and shoot photographs at the same time. This is a highly dangerous operation and raises the question: If you are taking photographs, who is flying the airplane?
We want to assure you that Aerial Images Photography always has a pilot flying the airplane while the photographer is taking your photographs. These pilots are often corporate and airline pilots with thousands of flight hours experience. We state in our contract that, in the event of an incident or accident. you, the client, are in no way held responsible.

What equipment do you use for the architectural photographs?
We have a special Canon shift lens to remove distortion. We also use polarizing filters designed to enhance the blue sky and dramatize the clouds. To eliminate any possibility of vibration, we have a remote electric shutter button.

What kind of camera are you using and why? We utilize the famous 17mp Canon 1DS Mark III and the Mark II cameras used by other professional photographers around the world. Canon has 70% of the pro market and Nikon, Fugi, and Mamiya share the other 30% There must be a good reason Canon has such a large portion of the market.

How did you learn photography? Basically, by OTJ, It has been a combination of college photography classes, on the job training, trial and error and reading up how others do it...and practice, practice, and more practice. I also have a couple accomplished award-winning photographers as my mentors and I have spent many hours learning lighting, PhotoShop, and business practices from them.
